Jess and Ashton wanted an elopement day that felt relaxed and full of wonder, exploring the coast and enjoying all the incredible scenery that Vancouver Island has to offer.
We wandered along the shoreline trails, pausing to take in the stunning cliffs, vibrant ocean blues, and to look for Orcas. And obviously when we spotted the vibrant yellow local ice cream shop we had to go in, and the moments eating ice cream together on the nearby shore were some of my favourites from the day.
The day ended in a sunny meadow at golden hour, where Jess and Ashton kicked off their shoes and ran through the tall grass, laughing and moving with pure joy.
Every detail of this elopement was filled with presence: quiet pauses, bursts of laughter, and playful spontaneity that felt entirely true to them.
Captured on 35mm film, the images reflect the texture of the coast, the warmth of the sun, and the genuine connection between these two.
if this elopement day speaks to you, I'd love to connect!
