Can you legally elope in Revelstoke?
Yes! Couples can legally elope in Revelstoke and anywhere else in British Columbia.
To get legally married in BC you’ll need:
• a BC marriage licence
• a registered officiant
• two witnesses
Many couples choose to exchange vows somewhere in nature — from mountain viewpoints to quiet lakeshores. Revelstoke is an incredible place for couples who want an elopement that feels peaceful, adventurous, and connected to the landscape.
Where are the best places to elope in Revelstoke?
Revelstoke is surrounded by mountains, forests, and alpine viewpoints, making it one of the most beautiful places in British Columbia to elope!

Revelstoke is especially great for couples who want beautiful scenery without the crowds found in places like Banff!
Can we bring our dog to our Revelstoke elopement?
Oh I insist!!! Revelstoke is a very dog-friendly place and many couples include their dog in their elopement day.
Dogs are allowed on many trails and outdoor areas as long as they remain on leash, especially in protected parks.
Including your dog in your ceremony or portraits is a wonderful way to make your elopement feel even more personal.
How far in advance should we book a Revelstoke elopement photographer?
Most couples book their Revelstoke elopement 6–12 months in advance, especially for summer and early fall dates.
However, because Revelstoke is a smaller destination, some elopements come together quickly. If you're planning a last-minute elopement in Revelstoke or the surrounding mountains, it's always worth reaching out to check availability.
Do you need a permit to elope in Revelstoke?
Permits are required within the National Parks in and near Revelstoke, including Mount Revelstoke National Park and Glacier National Park (aka Rogers Pass).

When is the best time to elope in Revelstoke?
Revelstoke offers stunning elopement opportunities throughout the year.
Spring (May–June): Lush forests and rushing waterfalls as the snow melts.
Summer (July–September): Wildflowers, accessible alpine trails, and warm mountain evenings.
Fall (late September–October): Golden forests and crisp mountain air.
Winter (November–March): While winters are wet in the valley, snow enthusiasts come from all over to experience the world class skiing!
Sunrise and sunset ceremonies are especially beautiful in the mountains when the light is soft and the landscape is quiet.
